From the moment our Gold Dinner guests arrive they become the most important people in the world. Priority boarding, welcome cocktails under a starry sky (constellation Crux is a must see for any visitor from the northern hemisphere), seating in the Sky Deck restaurant with views only comparable to my seat in the Bridge directly above, the sultry entertainment of our lounge singer (or dancing with the live band on the deck below), a six course tasting menu featuring all my favourite Australian specialties and accompanied by a selection of vintage Australian wines or spirits if you prefer.

- Cruise on MV sydney 2000 (or alternatively the new John Cadman 2)

- Priority boarding at Circular Quay

- Star deck welcome reception
