Southern cross offer day tours to Springbrook and Tamborine mountain and also a night adventure to see the glow worms, i took my 9yrs old son on the tour with me, our pick up from accommodation was late afternoon so by the time we made our way up the 4Wd track on the private bus the sun was setting and we were able to get out at the peak of the mountain and take some photos . Then we had some fresh warm scones and a hot beverage at the award winning Gorges Paragon. We all then jumped back onto the bus and made our way to the glow worm track the tour guide gave us all our own torch and we followed him down the track through the rainforest and you can hear the waterfalls as your getting closer. The Guide was great with giving us some history on the rainforest and we saw a few animals my son spotted a little snake it wasn't big it just got everyone on our tour group excited . After about 20mins walking through the rainforest you come to an opening where you an see the waterfall then we all turned our torches off and as your eyes adjust the glow worms look like thousands of stars , what an great fun experience we had its gets you away from the city light and into the beautiful peaceful hinterland , Southern Cross are a family owned business and have been doing these tours for years make sure you book with these guys and support the locals.
